What About the Affordable Care Access to Birth Control
What Are My Choices?
If you haven’t heard by now, the Trump administration, currently in office, has cut the access to birth control coverage that is under the Affordable Care Act. This will mean that hundredths of Americans will no longer have access to obtain birth control free of charge.
This regulation was said to be issued to allow employers and insurers of policies to exempt themselves from providing these services free of charge due to their religious and or moral beliefs. Yes, this is a controversial topic for many, and both sides, the “for and against” have weighed in on the topic. Some organizations, have argued that supporting birth control, supports a sin initiative. The opposing parties are vocal in the stance that there will be a higher number of unwanted pregnancies.
How we these proposed cuts effect young mothers, teens who received these services at no cost? What further choices do low-income families have?
Wherever you stand, whatever your argument is, we must educate our youth, our families, our communities rather, it’s on abstinence and or other resources. We must use all feasible avenues available. Of course there is more to be reviewed on this topic, but in the meantime, we cannot just sit and wait to hear.
